So if you’re as excited as I am about how to get more traffic to your website fast, here are five tips to help you get started.

#1 | KNOW YOUR PURPOSE

The only way you’re going to gain traction with your blog is if you have a clear purpose when you first start creating content and a clear objective moving forward. So ask yourself - what are you doing this for? What’s your why? Because if it’s just for fun and you’re not taking it seriously, no one else will.

#2 | BUILD YOUR COMMUNITY FROM SCRATCH

Find like-minded bloggers with similar audiences to you covering similar content to you. Then go their blog and social channels and share their content and engage with them and their community. Be there to help, support and be a part of that community, and be seen by people who are interested in your kind of content.

#3 | BE CONSISTENT

There is no magic formula here and the more consistent you are, the more that you build trust with your community and they know you’re going to be back every single week. So try to stay consistent with your schedule.

#4 | CREATE QUALITY CONTENT

Make sure that you love what you’re writing about. Make sure it’s something that you’re passionate about, because if you’re not passionate about it and you don’t want sit there and write about it, people won’t want to read it.

Your content should aim to inspire, educate or entertain so you ned to figure out which one of these each of your blog posts fits into and run with that.

#5 | DON’T FOCUS ON PERFECTION

Perfection is not important. You just need to start and get over those hurdles. Start with what you have and go from there. And just be you. That’s the most important part, just be you.

So be yourself have your quirks, don’t be perfect and that’s really the key to having a successful blog and brand because if you’re yourself then you don’t really have any competition because no one else can be you.
