I had listened to Holly’s podcast for about 6 months, when she ran a free Pinterest training on Facebook that I took part in. It was after this that I heard about her ‘Busy To Boss Academy’, and we started talking in our Instagram DMs (I felt so starstruck that I was speaking to the same Holly I’d listened to for months before!). I instantly felt like Holly totally understood where I was struggling in my business, the challenges I was facing and the feeling of overwhelm trying to wear all the hats.

The first few months of being part of the academy were so amazing, the support and lessons were exactly what I needed at the time, but once my business started to grow I felt I needed a little extra help which was when Holly & I chatted about her 1:1 coaching.

I’m the sort of person who can come up with fifty ideas and want to do them all right now. I want to say yes to everything, and never want to let anyone down. I absolutely love what I do so switching off and planning time away is hard. Holly has been there too and fully understands what it’s like, and yet she’s figured out ways to make her business work for her, how to take time away and still have a successful business, how to batch your work so you’re not working 24-7. 

I love working with Holly for several reasons but two that stand out for me are:

1. How she knows what you’re going through, helps you talk things out and come up with a plan simply by asking the right questions, offering brilliant advice and being a listening ear (and sometimes shoulder to cry on!).

2. Her values and approach to your business working around family life. Knowing that business should be fun and enjoyable, and support the life you want to build. We laugh so much on our calls, while still covering so much ground each time!

I thoroughly look forward to our calls, and genuinely feel like I’ve made a true friend. Business has never been better and I know Holly has been a huge part of that. 

Last September I was really worried about where my next project might come from, and I set a goal that I’d love to be booking three months ahead. I now have projects well into 2022, and feel so much clearer on my marketing strategies, customer journey and overall business vision. 

If you’re considering working with a coach, and you feel aligned to the way Holly approaches her work, I can’t recommend her more highly. Running a business can be so scary, stressful, even lonely at times, so having someone to bounce ideas off, hold you accountable, give you a pep talk when you need one and guide you through the inevitable challenges is a total lifeline. The work we’ve done together on my mindset and strategy has been invaluable. My only regret? Not having started working with Holly sooner!

I hadn’t considered working with a coach until I virtually met Holly. I took part in one of her mini-series and it had so much value, I took away so many action points and knew there was more I could be doing on my business. I decided then if I was ever to invest in my business and work with a coach I would only go with Holly.

I’ve had two 12 week instalments working with Holly so far and they have been absolutely invaluable to me. Holly helped me get organised, focused and kept me accountable every week. We worked together to gain more clarity on my brand, who I wanted to help and I ended up completely changing my business.

You may think the coaching will benefit your business, and you’d be right, but I’m most impressed about that this coaching has done for me as a business owner. I feel more aligned than ever with what I do. I feel confident in myself and my abilities and I’ve completely changed the way I work thanks to Holly.

Working with Holly has been a long time coming, because I have been following her on-line for so long; watching behind the scenes vlogs, advice videos and listening to her amazing podcast episodes (I have lost count of how many times I have linked her on my blog so that everyone can experience something Holly has said!). I honestly learn something every single time I hear Holly speak about business and she is so inspiring to me.

When the academy came along I felt a lot of fear around it because it meant properly showing up: showing up from an honest place for Holly, for the other business owners who are part of it, and most of all for me. Listening to podcasts is one thing, committing to leveling up (in front of others) is another, but seriously, it was the best thing I could have ever done. I was stagnant in my business, knowing what I wanted to be doing (sort of), but not how to do it and just feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Since the academy started I have got to know the most wonderful, inspiring business owners, all at different stages of their journey (which was a huge concern of mine... 'where was I going to fit in'/'would i be suitable as I haven't got it all figured out yet' etc), and we are honestly helping each other so much. That side of it makes it worthwhile, and that is before any of Holly's amazing resources and coaching!

The lessons are proving super helpful; each and every one is like a new piece of the bigger puzzle. Holly has created something that delves so much deeper than the obvious day-to-day business owner 'problems' and looks at every aspect of what you need to consider in order to be showing up as your best, most energetic self each day. 

So far Holly has helped me to see my focus points more clearly, set up a productive working schedule that I enjoy (meaning I am actually getting things done and not procrastinating for more time than I am working). She has helped me gain confidence to do proper market research and talk to my customers to see what they are all about (something I was terrified of before) and I am far more sure about what I am doing then I ever have been.

There is so much more to come and I am super excited for it. I feel like I am part of a family of like minded individuals and it feels so good. Often the journey of a business owner is a bit of a lonely place, so our weekly calls are something I really look forward to and our FB community is so supportive, friendly and helpful too.

Best life choice ever!

When I found Holly I was blogging in my spare time - between an absolutely chaotic schedule of university, full time work in an unpredictable and stressful job and plans to move overseas. I had no thought at all that I could run my own business. But listening to Holly’s podcast and following her online encouraged me to put more effort into my blog and eventually I thought that maybe moving overseas could be the chance for me to reshape my life. 

I didn’t want to be stuck in a pattern of shift work and unable to enjoy my downtime. I knew that I couldn’t take that leap by myself so I very tentatively started talking to Holly about some coaching options. I am so glad I didn’t let my own limiting beliefs around money stop me from investing in myself because I know it’s the best career decision I’ve ever made.

Honestly, I had no clear idea of what my business could be. Just a vision for a more balanced life and a workday where I wasn’t managing other people and was in control of my own destiny. That’s exactly why I wanted to work with Holly and from the start she got me. She understood my business had to fuel my adventures and travel, not keep me chained to a desk.

Since working with Holly, I’ve written, released and marketed an eBook, created a mentoring program and signed multiple clients. I am so close to launching a podcast group coaching course that would be nothing without the intense planning sessions Holly and I ave had. I couldn’t have even dreamed about any of these things this time last year.

The thing is, I have a lot of years of very bad habits I want to change when it comes to how I work and the pressure I put on myself to achieve. As pleased as I am with how my business has developed I also feel that there’s more big-picture vision I want to get clarity on. And that’s why I’ve joined the Busy to Boss Academy. It feels really good to invest in myself again and after the breakthroughs I’ve already experienced in the last year, I am SO excited to see what the next year will bring with Holly and the wonderful Academy members.

I know that with the guidance I’ve received from Holly I can achieve my big scary goal and make my side business my full time business. For me, the investment has been worth every penny and more and I can’t thank Holly enough for everything that she’s brought into my life.

Since I’ve been in the Academy I’ve had my highest income month EVER, the most clients ever and I quit my day job. I also changed my mindset so I now think of myself as a CEO of my business but also as an expert in my niche. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to take responsibility for my business and it’s made the biggest difference! 

I’ve now learnt that I need to show up in a calm way. I need to have everything under control and know what’s best for my business and I don’t do that by just guessing; there is a system and I now understand that system! If I think back to just a few months ago I was in a place of pure scarcity and now I’m a total badass boss. 

Within the Academy every single video is valuable. Literally every call tells me something I feel excited about and want to delve into straight away. Your support has been the difference between a failed and a successful launch! The community is so supportive and it seems every month I’m connecting with more members online and we’re helping each other out. It’s so nice even on the calls to see how others are experiencing the same as you. If you’re ready to make your business work for you and feel confident in your success, it’s an easy decision to make. 

Before I met Holly I was feeling stuck. I was seeing traction in my business and organic growth, the best I had ever had, but I knew I needed clarity, direction, guidance and most importantly strategy to bring it all together. I could see the potential, but I was too in my head at times and needed the accountability and expertise in marketing to take my business to the next level.
