BEHIND-THE-SCENES: AN EXCITING NEW LAUNCH & A FEW OTHER SURPRISES

Behind-the-Scenes: an exciting new launch & a few other surprises

Friends, I’m excited. Really excited. You see today I get to share with you what I’ve been working on behind-the-scenes over the past few weeks.

The #BloggingBreakthrough community started off as just an idea. An idea to help bloggers with the basics and to share my own experiences so that they might help or inspire others. Then the series launched on the blog over the month of January and after that, the eBook was released. By this point, I had no idea that this would turn into a full blown community, but it has. Now, the people that sign up to the community sign up to be a Breakthrough Blogger.

If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you’ll have seen that I’ve been talking about something I’ve been creating for the #BloggingBreakthrough community. I love sending letters to your inbox on a weekly basis. But I felt there was something missing. Something more I could do for you.

The eBook I created showed me just how much I love creating products like that and it made me think – well, why can’t I do something like that more regularly?

I’ve been trying to figure out a way to do this and a few weeks ago, it hit me.

I was preparing a talk I was doing to some high school students about my journey so far. I spoke about how I got to where I am today. As I was planning my script about high school, college, uni and my career, I realised that one huge factor that has stayed with me throughout is magazines.

Reading magazines, analysing magazines, creating magazines – they've been my first love since I was 16 and my ultimate goal was always to work for a magazine.

So I thought, hey – why not create my own mini one?

Enter #BB – a digital community magazine that will hit your inbox once a month. I’m going to use this to highlight the content that you, my readers, have loved the most over the past month.

There’s going to be your favourite inspirational reminder, a motivational post, a post on blogging or social media and the latest interview in the new career series, How I Got To Where I Am Today. I’m also going to highlight the best responses, comments and tweets from the Blogging Breakthrough community each month, plus include not-on-the-blog content and lots of other surprises.

So that’s the plan, and the first issue is going to hit your inbox on Monday – after that, it’ll be the last Monday of every month.

If you’re already a member, that’s fab! You’ll get the first issue on Monday.

If not, all you need to do is join. You’ll become a Breakthrough Blogger straight away, get access to the issue when it’s published on Monday AND – of course – the free 28-day Blogging Breakthrough challenge.

For the launch issue, we’re talking about growth, what separates the best bloggers from the rest and I’m featuring one of the first bloggers I ever got talking to, Stephie from Tea in Your Twenties. She’s been a reader of ABOH and a member of the #BloggingBreakthrough community from the get-go and we've also met in person. Now, we still talk regularly and I loved featuring her in the new career interview series.

Communities really are amazing that way, right? The simple action of attracting like-minded people with content and interaction really helps you to build new friendships. It’s crazy to think that there are people in my community who reply to every email I send and some people that I talk to more than friends in my real life.

And I want you to be a part of this too, because it’s you that’s been able to make all of this happen. You have given me the confidence to create this and set up this community in the first place. So I want you to be a part of it. All you have to do is hit the button below and you’re good to go.

So – keep your eyes peeled for the BB magazine hitting your inbox on Monday at 2pm. I can’t wait to see what you think of it.

If you're already part of the community, are you looking forward to this? If you're not - are you going to join? Leave a comment below!
