SEVEN FOR SUNDAY: 24TH APRIL 2016

This week has been pure bliss.

If you read this blog often or you keep up to date with me on social media you might have seen me say that I've had a whole week off. At first I felt quite nervous and overwhelmed. I mean, it was five whole days ahead of me. I had no plans, no appointments, no early starts - nothing. So I kind of didn't know where to start.

But then my family talked some sense into me and made me realise how lucky I was to have this time off ahead me. They said I should use it wisely. So I did.

Have I done anything grand? No. Did I jet off on a plane? No. Did I got on a road trip? No. But what I did do was even better.

I had time to myself. I spent a lot of time with my nana and grandad that reminded me of when I was at college and university. I spent time outside, reading and catching the sun. I spent time with my animals. I spent time just being happy within my own company.

And what better way to show you what else I've done than with a Seven for Sunday round-up?

#1 | Styling Images

In a post I wrote on Tuesday, I said how photography was never one of my strongest skills. It's probably the thing I've struggled with the most over my blogging journey. But over the past few months I feel like I've really come into my own with it.

Something I've really enjoyed this week is bulk taking photos for Instagram and experimenting with the different props around my room. It's always hard at first and I take a few bad ones. But then I get into it and actually find it pretty fun!

#2 | Body Image

I've never really talked much about body image on this blog before and I do want to share my story eventually. It's something I've always struggled with in the past. So I started exercising to combat that and it's completely changed my life.

Now I'm more confident in myself than I've ever been, and that's with my body and my mind. It only really hit me the other weekend when I was trying on some clothes when I went shopping with my mum. Hard work really does pay off, but more than that, it's having the belief in yourself.

#3 | Spring Clothes

Speaking of Spring clothes, I couldn't resist this top when I saw it in Miss Selfridge. It was paired with a pastel pink swing skirt (which I also picked up too). With some cute nude heels, I think it'll be the perfect outfit for a summer party.

#4 | Finding time to workout

Something else I've loved about this week is having more time to exercise. I usually do a workout after I come home from work for no longer than thirty minutes. But this week I've managed to do at least 45 minutes each morning and it's been fantastic.

I've been keeping an eye on how many reps I can do and how much longer I can keep doing certain exercises for and everything has been increasing. It amazes me that two years ago I didn't know what a burpee was and now, (even though I HATE them), I can do more of them than I ever thought possible!

#5 | Our Garden

We've been blessed with some beautiful weather in the North West this week which has meant I've been spending a lot of time in the garden. I adore our garden - it was one of the main reasons my mum and dad bought the house.

You can't really class it as a front or back garden. It sort of swoops around the whole house. There's nothing I love more than sitting in the sunshine with a cup of tea watching the world go by.

#6 | going out for breakfast

Something Tom and I have got into the habit of doing over the past few weeks is going out for breakfast. It's nothing fancy - just our local Sainsburys! But treating ourselves to a sausage sandwich is always great for a Friday.

#8 | Spring

I love this flat lay because it just screams Spring to me. Bright nails, sunglasses, pink lips, pretty body spray - there's nothing better.
