SEVEN FOR SUNDAY: 3RD APRIL 2016

Seven for Sunday: 3rd April 2016

I'm really loving putting together these Seven for Sunday posts every week, especially now I've switched them up a bit. After taking a few days off from blogging at the start of the week, it feels good to get back into the swing of things and I'm looking forward to creating all the content I've got planned for this month.

So happy April! This week has been just right, although it was tricky cramming five days worth of work into four! I think at the start of the week I was definitely still in Bank Holiday mode too. March was good, but I'm really looking forward to this month. The days are longer which means there'll be more time spent outside and there's a few nice things to look forward too as well.

This weekend has been a food-filled one - Tom and I made our famous chilli pasta bake for my brother last night before he goes back to uni, and today we're at my Nana's for a family Sunday roast. (Her's are the best in the world, FYI.) I'm also thinking of purchasing one of FitnessBlender's programs and change up my routine a bit, so watch this space.

Anyway, right now I'm drinking gallons of water to stop myself from wanting my tea too early and admiring my bullet journal, because OH MY is it pretty!

Here's how this week has looked.

#1 | New Getting Ready Space

In my last Seven for Sunday post, I revealed how I'd completely switched up my room. I want to keep showing you some of my favourite parts and this is one of them.

I've been living at Tom's for the past couple of week's since his mum and dad have been away, so this week was the first time I actually got to experience my new bedroom. And the part I'm loving the most right now is my getting ready space. Before, I had my toiletries, make-up and jewellery all over the place. Now it looks like this and I love it!

To the left of this chest of drawers is a window and in the morning, it's the perfect place for me to get ready for the day. Plus, it let's me people-watch too, which I know we're all guilty of...

#2 | Matching Jewellery

I'm having a bit of jewellery moment right now. I don't wear a lot of it during the day, just my every day pieces (watch, studs, charm bracelet.) But after having a clear out and seeing just how much I actually own, it got me thinking that I might actually want to start wearing it.

Cue last Saturday night when we had an engagement party to go to. I wore a cute little satin black two-piece from Miss Selfridge (which you can see in this pic) and when I bought it, I bought these especially to go with the outfit. So now, I just naturally wear them together.

Safe to say I was very happy when I got a few compliments and the mum of the bride-to-be even said I looked glamorous - always worth it when you spend a good few hours getting yourself ready!

#3 | pink

So here's something you might not know about me - I don't really like the colour pink. When I was younger, I used to love it. But then I went through a bit of a tomboy phase and I've never really liked it since then.

That's until recently. I only own three pink things in my wardrobe - a blush pink bodycon dress, a nude silk vest top and this pink cardigan. And as much as I love all of those items, it's not clothing that has changed my mind. It's make-up.

You see, when I got Clinique's free gift last month, there was a cheeky little pink lipstick in there. At first, I thought it wouldn't look right. But I've actually been wearing it every day. It's such a beautiful shade and with the recent lighter colour I've had put throughout my hair, I always feel really good when I wear it. What lipstick is better than that?

#4 | The Morning Light

The fact that it's light before half 6 in the morning and after half 6 at night is making me very giddy indeed. I love this time of year. Sunset walks, beautiful colours, and of course, more time to take photos. This is an Easter flower basket I got for my mum and dad and I took this picture on Friday morning about 7:30am. I love how the light is coming through the window and onto the flowers.

#5 | Spring Clothes

I love wearing this skirt with black tights, but I love wearing it even more bare legged and paired with my blue Spring coat. I remember wearing that exact outfit to one of the last days of my internship in London and I felt like a proper fashionable working girl.

I love gingham and this skirt looks SO good with pastel colours. It was from Topshop a couple of years ago, but I bet you'll be able to find a similar one somewhere.

6 | A Brand New Month

I always enjoy the transition between one month and the next. There are lots of things that get me excited about April - longer days, my bunny rabbits (and my dad's!) birthday, a bit of time off - I don't know why, but I feel like I have much more time in the Spring and Summer months than I do in the Winter ones.

There are a few things I want to accomplish this month, like finally sort my bedroom out completely, get some more freelance writing clients and make a few changes to my website. But apart from that, it's all about taking it easy and enjoying the spontaneity.

#7 | blogosphere magazine

So it's always a good thing when your boyfriend knows you well, right? Well, instead of getting me loads of chocolate for Easter, he bought me MAGAZINES. And if you don't already know, I LOVE them. One of the ones he got me was Blogosphere.

I've heard of the magazine and seen people talking about it on Twitter - but I'd just never got round to actually buying. That was until last Sunday when hey presto - Tom was already one step ahead.

I'm yet to read it all, but I've had a look through and boy I can't wait to dig into it. It's pretty safe to say that I'll be buying the next issue. I'll let you all know what I think of it.

So there you have another Seven for Sunday! This morning I'm doing a workout and then heading to my Nana's for a big Sunday lunch. Have a great day!Let's chat in the comments - what have been some of the highlights of your week? Anything new with you?
