10 Reasons Why Graduating Improved My Life

On Wednesday 3rd December, I graduated from my master’s degree.  It was a year of laughter, love, stress, tears and hard work. But more than that, it was probably the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done, in more ways than one. I won’t lie to you – it was more work than my three years at my undergraduate degree combined. Over ten exams, a 28 page magazine, two group projects and articles written by the dozen. Overall though, I probably learnt more and grew more as a person during this one single year than any other time.

So I Quit My Job...

One of the hardest things in life is admitting to ourselves that something has to change. The part that's getting us down and making us unlike ourselves.  I know some people don't like change, but I guess you can call this more of an alteration. Once you've made the decision, the rest is easy. How do I know? Because I made that decision.

November Goals Review

1. Get Christmas sorted [done] - Picture the scene. It's Saturday. You're going to the Trafford Centre. And you completely blast Christmas shopping. Yep, we did it! When you go with the right mindset, you've got a list and you take your time, shopping at this time of year can be really enjoyable. It was great and I can't wait to wrap everything we got.

Blogs I've Loved In November

If you don't follow these bloggers already, you really should. Collecting and writing these posts each month really makes me realise just how amazing the blogging community is. The fact that each of us can come up with so many unique ideas for content on a regular basis truly is brilliant. December will be a quiet month so I'll be taking a break from this post until the end of January. But I'm pretty sure everyone is going to kick start the new year with style and a bang. So take a well deserved break this Christmas, catch up on your favourite blogs and add some more to your feed. This is the content I've been loving this month...

Ten Newsletters You Need To Sign Up To

Recently I've stumbled across some pretty incredible creatives. These people are not only great writers - they're helpful too. Even more than that, they know you. They're somehow magically in tune with their readers. One scroll through their recent posts had me signing up to their newsletters on the spot - and there wasn't even a pop up. I don't think you should miss out on these, which is why I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Well, ten of them actually.

Do You Have Brand Values? If Not Why Not?

"A question that doesn't have a definite answer is a question worth exploring."

Did you know a source found by Social Triggers says there are more than 164 million blogs?

I know right. What a figure.

164 million. To put it into context, there are around 64.1 million people living in the UK right now. So currently, there are more than twice as many blogs in the world compared to people in the UK.

That’s a big figure.

If you’re reading this, you may have a blog or you may not. If you do, I’m guessing that like me, you’re one of the 164 million.

So in other words we’re all really little fish in a very big pond. It’s no wonder we always ask ourselves the question: “Why do we blog?”

Blogs I've Loved in October

It's absolutely amazing how every single month I find a new list of bloggers to add to my Bloglovin feed.  The bloggers I follow are all so inspiring, creative and produce a gorgeous selection of online content for their readers. I've been feeling beyond proud to be part of this community recently and am thinking about opening up some new directions to take my little blog in. But for now, here are the people that inspire me to do one thing: keep blogging.

My Daily Instagram Struggle

Are you on Instagram?

Of course you are. What a silly question.

The thing is, these days, we're all expected to be on it aren't we? Snapping and filtering our lives away. Don't get me wrong, I love Instagram and I love taking pictures of my life to look back at. But it seems that we're all guilty of one little thing when it comes to this app - we only take photos of the good stuff.

September Goals Review

1. Get into healthy eating habits - This is something I'm very proud to say I've achieved this month. I've been really determined about my eating habits, making sure I only take healthy snacks to work and not going mad at weekends, although I still allow myself a treat or two! And I'm definitely going to carry on.
